&lt;p&gt;Ahora bien, no hay por qué intimidarse! Creo que el truco está en dividir la receta en secciones, y así no se deja todo para un mismo día. Perfectamente puedes hacer el bizcocho y el relleno en la noche, y al día siguiente haces el suspiro (merengue) y decoras. Parte por parte, como Jack el destripador.&lt;/p&gt;

But donuts in particular are awesome, not only because of the fluffy texture, but also because they serve as a delivery system for whatever topping you choose. I’m a purist: I stick with the chocolate frosting (and no sprinkles please).&lt;!-- more --&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;By the way, this dough is extremely efficient. Just take the scraps, form into a ball and let it rest for an hour. Then roll out and cut out the donuts just like round one. Oh and don’t forget to use the donut holes to make mini ones.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Besides the basic donut recipe, I’ve also included one for a vanilla glaze and a chocolate frosting. Because a good donut must always be dressed properly, am I right?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Siempre he tenido un cariño especial por las donuts. Para ser honesta, cualquier plato que incluya algún tipo de masa frita guardará un lugar importante en mi corazón. Pero las donuts en particular son maravillosas, ya que aparte de tener textura de nubecita acolchada, actúan como canal de distribución del topping que hayas elegido. Yo soy clásica, siempre elijo cubierta de chocolate (sin sprinkles ni nada de eso por favor).&lt;!-- more --&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Por cierto, esta masa es extremadamente eficiente. Puedes tomar los retazos que te sobren, formas una bola y la dejas reposar cubierta por una hora (tal como hiciste al principio). Luego, la estiras con un rodillo de la misma forma y cortas de nuevo las donuts. Ah y no te olvides de usar la masa de los hoyos para hacer mini donuts.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Aparte de la receta básica de donuts, también incluyo recetas para un glaseado de vainilla y uno de chocolate. Porque una donut siempre debe estar bien vestida, ¿no es así?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Dice un viejo refrán que la necesidad es la madre de la invención. En la cocina, esto es muy cierto. Hay recetas que nacen de la urgencia de usar ingredientes antes de que se echen a perder, como por ejemplo el plato de hoy: tenía dos guineos maduros y una tasa de pasas, y bueno, lo demás es historia.&lt;/p&gt;
